BabyLife — Privacy Policy

BabyLife (“we”) helps families privately share photos of their children. We take the privacy of that data — especially photos of minors — seriously. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used.

What we collect

Account info: your email address (for sign-in and account recovery).
Content you add: photos, videos, captions, the child's name and birth date, comments, and reactions.
Membership data: who you invite and their role (owner/contributor/viewer).
Optional notifications: a push token if you opt in to upload alerts.
Limited diagnostics: basic error logs to keep the App working.

How photo access is used

Photo-library access (on the mobile app) is used only to let you choose photos to add to your timeline and to suggest recent photos. Image analysis (face detection and content labels for suggested titles) happens on your device; we do not send your library to any server for analysis. iOS never shares its “People” face data with apps.

How we use & share data

To operate the App: store your timeline and show it to the members you invite.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Content is visible only to the members of a timeline (and anyone with an active share link the owner created).
Infrastructure providers (Supabase for database/storage/auth; Vercel for hosting) process data on our behalf under their security terms.

Children's data

BabyLife is intended for use by parents and adult family members, not by children. The photos are of children but are added and controlled by adults. We do not knowingly let children under 13 create accounts.

Your choices

Delete your account & data anytime from Settings → it removes your timeline, photos, and memberships.
Owners can remove members and revoke share links at any time.
You can decline photo and notification permissions (some features will be limited).

Retention

We keep your content until you delete it or your account. Deleting your account removes associated data from our active systems.
